Behind the Brush

When I close my eyes, my

visions summon me to soar

It is my passion that gives me the

courage to lift off and

It is my brush that gives me

the wings to fly

Denise Cocchiaro is an award-winning watercolor artist whose work reflects a profound connection to nature and the spirit of wildlife. For more than 25 years, Denise has explored the expressive power of watercolor, studying with some of the medium's most respected masters. Through luminous washes and transparent color, Denise captures intimate, magical moments that reveal not only the form of her subjects, but their essence and spirit. Her paintings are rooted in passion and reverence for the natural world. With every brushstroke, she seeks to inspire deeper appreciation and stewardship of wildlife and the environment.
In addition to her studio practice, Denise has taught watercolor classes and private students for many years. Known for her supportive and inspiring teaching style, she has cultivated a devoted following of returning students while helping new artists discover confidence and joy in the luminous possibilities of watercolor.
